Bearspaw is located on the northwest side of Calgary, just outside the city limits on the north side of Highway 1A *Crowchild Trail*. Contained within the Municipal District (MD) of Rockyview, there are several areas that make up Bearspaw, including Church Ranches, Watermark at Bearspaw, Bearspaw Meadows, Bearspaw Acres, Bearspaw Ridge, Bearspaw Summit, and Bearspaw Village.
